Author: Kimberley Cathline de Rodríguez

Another popular Bridal embellishment is the addition of a hair accessory. There is a range of items to choose from, including fascinators, hairpieces, tiaras, fresh flowers and headbands. All of these accessories can be worn with or without a veil. If you fall in love with more than one option never fear, many Brides choose to wear one hair accessory during the ceremony and then switch to another during the reception. A hairpiece will be a stunning addition to your Bridal ensemble and a beautiful way to tie together your wedding day look.

The Fascinator has become increasingly popular with American Brides. The addition of this statement piece started as a Euro wedding fashion trend, which was famously spotlighted as a guest requirement during the 2011 Royal wedding. The Royal wedding has resulted in fascinators becoming in high demand as a Bridal accessory.

A Bridal Tiara is a classic fairytale princess look, however vintage-styled tiaras can also create a regal appearance without the storybook feel. Tiaras have a versatile look depending on which type you choose and the hairstyle you pair it with.

Hairpieces cover a wide range of accessories such as combs, pins, clips, barrettes and hair vines. Hair vines create an elaborate look and are held in place by pins and combs. They are flexible so they can be placed perfectly working around and accenting your hairstyle. Hair pins can be worn on their own or clustered together to create your own unique hair accessory.

Bridal Headbands are incredibly trendy right now. There are many creative ways to wear this accessory. Lace and ribbon headbands create a soft feminine look. Consider pinning a vintage broach to a ribbon and wearing it in your hair to generate an ultra romantic feel. Headbands with tulle create a look reminiscent of a veil and are fun and funky. Headbands made of crystals and metal accents have an air of sophistication and romance.
